My name is Akalyn Whitely and I’m a 23 year old model, actor, professional stepper, music producer, and biochemist.

I am from and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. From the ages of 2 to 10, my primary school would throw a yearly performance where we did public speaking, plays, musical performances and dances. I also started child acting and modeling at this age because those performances sparked my love of the stage.

Fast forward to sophomore year of high school, I joined the Organized Chaos Step Team where we were able to compete at a national level. I enjoyed it so much that I joined the UBST step team in college where I took on a teaching/leadership role creating full shows and competing at rival colleges. In that time, I also got into afrobeat dancing as well.

After graduating college, I decided I wanted to pursue modeling and acting as an adult and started my current journey in 2023. I spent the whole year working background acting roles, participating in live play readings, music videos, and perfecting my runway walk.

I’ve curated my own fashion show and have created a network of professional photographers, designers, and models. Through my hard work, I was able to walk in New York Fashion Week, Brooklyn Fashion Week, Small Boutique Fashion Week, and many independent runway shows; as well as working independently with brands for shoots and as an ambassador making my way up to billboards in Times Square.

My goals for the new year and beyond are to work with even bigger brands and to book higher paying work where I can make modeling my full time source of income.
